Post-Procell Microchanneling Care

Avoiding Irritation

The most vital aspect after undergoing Procell is to avoid touching the treated area. This procedure creates numerous micro-injuries in the epidermis, stimulating a wound-healing response and enabling deep serum penetration. The microchannels stay open for around 60-90 minutes post-treatment. Any contact, including from hands, clothing, makeup, or skincare products, could irritate and disrupt the healing process. Thus, it’s best to keep everything away from the treated area during this crucial period. After 60-90 minutes, gentle products such as simple moisturizers, mineral sunscreen, and makeup can be applied.

Skincare Restrictions

Resuming your usual skincare routine should wait for at least 24 to 48 hours post-treatment. Products containing strong active ingredients like vitamin C serums or exfoliants might induce unnecessary inflammation while your skin heals. It is essential to use products designed for gentle care during this time. The focus should be on hydration and protection, not on treatments that could cause irritation. Once the initial healing phase is complete, you can slowly reintroduce your regular skincare regimen, being mindful to monitor how your skin reacts.

Activity and Exposure Limitations

For the first 24 hours following Procell Microchanneling, avoid activities that might irritate or swell the skin. Vigorous exercise should be avoided; however, low-impact activities like walking are acceptable. Sun exposure should also be minimized, and when unavoidable, a mineral sunscreen must be used to protect the skin. Additionally, it is advised to wait a further two weeks before engaging in any intense skincare procedures such as Botox, filler, or deeper chemical peels. This gives your skin ample time to recover and prevents compromising the treatment results.
